Is the Salsa Booth Worth It, and for Whom
Photobooth Supply Co sells a business in a box, and for somebody starting out that is a real proposition. Most Salsa photo booth reviews judge it as capture software and stop there, which undersells the booking system, the contracts and the analytics that come inside the same plan.
What Salsa and Fiesta Do Better
- The business layer. Booking, proposals, contracts, surveys and analytics sit inside the plan. For a new operator that removes three or four separate subscriptions, and Snap360App does not attempt any of it.
- Permanent galleries. Their plans list permanent hosting. Snap360App publishes a 30 day gallery window, which is fine for guests but weaker if a corporate client asks for the files in March.
- One vendor for machine and software. The Salsa booth, the Tortilla 360 platform and Fiesta come from the same company, with published hardware prices. That is the same argument we make ourselves.
- A 30 day trial with everything on. A month is long enough to work a real event and decide properly.
- Print and DSLR paths. Named Canon bodies and AirPrint or wired printing, so an iPad booth can hand out paper. Snap360App does neither.
What Snap360App Does Better
- 360 is not on the upper plan. With Fiesta, 360 capture, slow motion and green screen are Pro features, so the format you bought the platform for sits behind the more expensive tier. With Snap360App the 360 workflow is the product.
- Android is a real option. Fiesta is an Apple product. Snap360App is on both stores, so a broken tablet is replaced with whatever fits the budget.
- It works on the platform you already own. Fiesta is built around their machines. Snap360App is sold as compatible with any 360 platform, which matters if your spinner did not come from that catalogue.
- Testing has no clock. The free tier watermarks output but never expires, so you can rehearse for a season if you want to.
