DNP Media and Photo Paper
Genuine DNP photo printer paper and ribbon for every event photo printer we fit. Pick your model and you get the exact capacities, formats and print counts, with no guessing about what fits what.
Dye sublimation media is not paper, it is a matched pair: a roll of paper and a ribbon designed for the exact chemistry of one printer family. That is why there is no universal DNP printer media and why a kit for a DS620 will not run in a DS-RX1HS. Choose your printer below and the capacities are the manufacturer figures, not an estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is DNP media interchangeable between printers?
No. Each printer family takes its own media kit and the machine will not run another one. That is why the printer you buy also chooses your consumable supply for the life of the machine, which is worth thinking about before you choose the printer.
How long does DNP media last in storage?
It is dated stock rather than perishable goods: kept dry, at room temperature and in its box, media ordered ahead of a season is fine. The mistake is storing it in a van in August, where heat does affect the ribbon.
How many prints do I get per box?
800 on a DS620 at 4x6, 1,400 on a DS-RX1HS at 4x6 and 300 on a QW410. Larger formats use more ribbon and give fewer prints, so a 6x8 box is roughly half a 4x6 box.
Do you ship media on its own, without a printer?
Yes. Media is bought on its own far more often than with a machine, which is the whole point of it. Tell us the model and the formats you sell and we will quote the kits and the quantity.
Which DNP printer paper do I need: DS620A, DS40, RX1 or QW410?
The kit is named after the printer family, so DS620A printer paper for a DS620 or DS620A, DS-RX1 printer media for a DS-RX1HS, and QW410 printer paper for the QW410. DS40 printer paper belongs to the previous generation and does not run in a DS620. Send us the model on the front of the machine and we match the media.
How do you change the paper in a DNP printer?
Paper and ribbon change together, because a kit is designed to run out at the same time. The empty roll and the spent ribbon come out, the new pair goes in its bay, and the printer feeds two blank prints itself to align the media. Two minutes the first time and under one after that. The loading sheet for your model ships with the first order.
How do I set up a DNP printer for the first time?
Driver from DNP first, then the printer on USB, then the print profile chosen in your booth software, then one test print at the format you sell. Doing it in that order avoids the classic setup fault, which is booth software holding a print size the loaded media cannot produce. We walk it through with you on the first machine.
Is the DNP printer ribbon sold separately from the paper?
No, and no dye sublimation manufacturer sells it that way. The ribbon carries the same print count as the roll of paper it ships with, so the pair runs out together and a box ends clean. Buy them apart and you end up holding a spare ribbon with no paper, or paper with no ribbon, halfway through a Saturday. Every box we quote is the matched pair.
How do I install a DNP RX1 printer?
Driver from DNP, then the printer on USB, then the print profile in your booth software, then one test print. Load the media before that test print and let the machine feed its two blank prints to align the roll. If the printer will sit outside a booth column, ask us for the paper tray for the RX1 printer with the order so the prints are not landing on a table edge.
DS620A or DS-RX1HS: which media works out better?
A DS620A box gives 800 prints at 4x6 and an RX1HS box gives 1,400, so on a 4x6 only rate card the RX1HS reloads half as often. The DS620A earns it back on range: it is the one that takes 5x7 roll media, at 460 prints per box, and 6x8 at 400. So DNP DS620A vs RX1HS comes down to whether you sell one format or three.
How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
Three years. The official warranty covers manufacturing defects, electronic components, the screen and the printer. Technical support is unlimited and for life, with no renewal to pay, and you can reach us through the contact form, by email and on WhatsApp (+34 623 798 041). Financing is also available from €99 a month if you prefer to spread the payment, conditions on request.
