A 4x6 box of DS-RX1HS media yields 1,400 prints, which is the highest print count per box of any printer we fit. Split that into 2x6 strips and the same box carries 2,800 strips. If strips are what your booth sells, that is the lowest cost per unit of output available on a DNP machine, and it is the reason the RX1HS keeps selling years after its launch.
At 700 prints per roll most operators reload between events rather than during one, which changes how you plan stock: you are ordering by the month, not by the event. What media do I need for 2x6 strips on the DS-RX1HS?
Standard 4x6 media. The printer cuts each 4x6 into two 2x6 strips, so a box of 1,400 prints yields 2,800 strips with no separate media to stock.
Does DS-RX1 media fit the DS-RX1HS?
Yes. The HS is the high speed revision of the same machine and takes the same media. Listings written DS-RX1, RX1HS or DS RX1 HS all refer to it.
Can I use third party paper in a DNP DS-RX1HS?
You can load it and you should not. Non original media shifts colour, bands and voids the printer warranty. We only supply genuine DNP.
